8/24 zones
Description
The extremely compact M-series controllers type M-4U, are presented in multizone cabinets from 8 to 24 zones according to the dimensions and the disposition of the power cards. A new, compact 8-zone version that uses the new 15A power card is now available (M4U-S.08). The LCD with a white/blue backlit display and an integrated keyboard make the use more friendly.
The cabinet has out of standard all top-of-the-range functions :
- Permanent self tuning control
- Adjustable Soft start
- 2 adjustable set point values
- Display of % power and load current per zone (Amps)
- Alarm on upper and lower temperature, thermocouple and heating elements
But also other advanced functions:
- Programmable posting of zones
- Adjustable BOOST function
- Memory for 16 moulds settings
- Attribution of zone slaving
- Automatic switch to manual mode,
- Mould diagnosis (Option MoldScan)
- Interface PC (Win'Sise 2000)
- External alarm input
The MoldScan option allows to analyse the parameters of the electric heating elements (installed power, temperature increase, resistance value of the heating element, etc.) It shows in real time a diagram about the temperature changes and set point for a selected zone.
Applications
The M-4U controllers has been specifically designed for applications with an average number from 8 to 24 zones. The heating power of the zones is combinable by module of 8 (Example : 16 zones 16A or 24 zones 5A, or 8 zones 16 A and 8 zones 5A) thus allowing an optimal adaptation to the mould to be controlled. The M-4U series controller is particularly dedicated to applications with a high number of zones to be controlled, and a particular monitoring of the temperature conditions (Automotive, Technical moulding industry, sensible or technical raw material for example). The new compact 15A card can be used for up to 24 zones on packaging, cosmetics or medical applications.
